Avaliação da contribuiçãoWent to try a new place that is a little out of the way for me. I love calzones so I have to try one wherever I go. The crust of the calzone is really good, light and crispy. Here is the caveat, if you like ricotta cheese you will love it. I have always liked the taste of ricotta cheese, but i dont like the texture. This ricotta cheese is smooth and creamy which just seems the perfect consistency. The only thing that detracts from the overall enjoyment is that there is so much ricotta inside that i cannot taste the mozzarella as much as i would like.
Love my hometown and it makes it that much better when you have pizzeria place that outshines all its competitors. always on point!
This place has its pros and cons. Nice little gem tucked away in Magna, however, it is very poorly managed, which leads me to my poor review. Pros: excellent food. The sandwiches are to die for! Honestly the best chicken parm that I've had in all of Salt Lake City. Pizza is mediocre to me, but it's just not my style of pizza, I'm sure others would love it, as well. Cons: Business Management and misleading advertising. I first tried to make a very large $700-$800) catering order about two or three weeks ago. I called more than fifteen times on a Wednesday and not a single call was answered. I gave them another chance because of how many good comments I had heard about Nonna's. I'm glad I did, because the food was excellent.
Funky little shop in Magna is a surprise. Ordered the large salad and received a really nice large salad with plenty of toppings and dressing on the side as requested. Ordered a 16 inch half kitchen sink half Hawaiian. Salad came out first and had plenty of time before the pizza arrived. The pizza crust could be cooked a bit more in the center for my tastes but the flavors were great. Prices were reasonable at less than &30 for two. We took a half of pizza home as leftovers!
The pizza is the best for miles around. The garlic knots are tasty and apparently it's haunted. So if you want real pizza on the west side Nona's is the place for you. They also have great calzones. On the down side they are randomly closed for absolutely no reason which is frustrating and confusing. Maybe it's because it's haunted. Great pizza though. It is next to several bars so it's not exactly family friendly at night so I recommend take out.
