Peshawri Grill - Mahwah

Food: Utterly delicious food. I ordered a goat Biryani and chicken curry and naan. Both of my orders were well prepared and tasted really good. There was something going on in this restaurant and I was also given complimentary kheer that day. Service: Service is great. The folks are very cordial and they took my order when the restaurant was about to close down for the day. Atmosphere: The atmosphere is great, well maintained and restaurant.

Really amazing food. Peshwari Biriyani and Kabob platter was very flavorful. We even got the Rara Mutton. Affordable and delicious food.

This place is highly underrated. We came up here from Long Island for a weekend getaway. We stopped here for lunch. We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, chicken tandoori, dal makhani, garlic naan, palak/saag paneer and two masala chai. The dal was a little sweet for my wife. Outside of that everything was outstanding. Everything had a homemade taste to it. The CTM was not bright red food-dyed. The naan was hot and fresh. The palak in the palak paneer was smooth and creamy, thick. The dal makhani was black and yellow lentils with some red kidneys. The CTM had a slightly sweet cinnamon taste to it along with the garam masala. The music was Old vs New Bollywood songs. Not too loud. Really a joy and refreshing to eat here. The hostess/server was extremely polite and friendly. The atmosphere was very relaxing. We've had our share of Indian food in the states and also cook our own and this one ranks up there. Thank you for a delightful experience!
