Brooklyn Square Pizza

I've tried all the local pizza joints, and this is the best in this area. Super friendly staff, always attentive. Not sure what it is about the dough, but it's so much better than the other places. I like the sesame crust on the round pies, the jersey square pie is our go to for Friday pizza night. My only grievance is with the shopping center itself, whoever designed that parking lot needs to get their head checked.Update: I had to take one star off, as my latest visit they added a 3.9% credit card surcharge. That’s a bit excessive. It’s understood that the banks charge around 3-3.5% to process the transaction. How about split it with the customer??

Was in the area (Manalapan) and stopped in for lunch. We are glad we did. Got the pepperoni and vodka square, some garlic knots, and a chicken parm calzone...all very good. I got the eggplant calzone to go.

This place is hit or miss and always takes longer than they say. Usually try to look past it cause I like the sesame seeds on the pizza but tonight was frustrating. Ordered 1 large pie well done. Estimate delivery was 1.5 to 1 hour and 45 min. Pretty crazy but fine. I had to call to follow up and pizza still came after 2 hours. No sesame seeds either. I politely mentioned my dissatisfaction to the driver since I knew it was rush hour and didn’t want to slow them down hoping maybe they would rectify the situation later. A manager named Gabby called and at first seemed sympathetic. Was hoping they would consider taking care of the cost of the pie that night or maybe a future pie. They offered another pie tonight but why would I want another pie tonight and wait forever for it. I worked all day and only had 4 hours till job number 2 at 9pm. I was hoping i could express my dissatisfaction civilly to their face but the snippy comments I received from her did it in for me. Disappointed…

It’s heavy! But the upside down is amazing. The sauce is addicting. Love this place. Need to try the other pizzas though here and provide an update.
