Avaliação da contribuiçãoI have had just about everything on the menu and it is all good...except for the crawfish and I don't like em anywhere period'It's a great place to relax and eat and be comfortable. I just can't say enough good things about Honore's.
We tried this place recently as we just moved to the area. I think we were pretty early in crawfish season as the selection was pretty small. Won't hold that against them, but the flavor was not as strong as we're used to. We like spice! The crawfish etouffee and gumbo were great though. The line was a bit long, please consider two cashiers if possible. Overall, will definitely be back to try other options!
On a Friday evening, I decided to stop by Honore's Cajun Cafe for dinner. Like most Cajun restaurants, Honore's has a laid back and casual fee. After parking in their gravel lot, I walked in and took a look at the menu. You order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. While I was perusing the menu, I noticed that they have a solid happy hour. Sadly, I was too late. I ordered the captain's platter with crawfish tails, coleslaw, fries, and gator. I love the variety though it wasn't cheap. I washed everything down with a sweet tea. I've always been a fan of Cajun restaurants because I love New Orleans. I always feel like I'm getting a taste of Nola when I visit a spot like Honore's. While they had free WiFi, it wasn't working while I was there. And for some reason, maybe because of the building, I had really poor cell reception there. They do have a patio but I ended up sitting inside. The food was good and the coleslaw stood out. It was more flavorful than your typical coleslaw. For the price, the portion size was smaller than I expected. A couple of hits and misses on my visit. I'd try them again for happy hour.
The quality of the crawfish is always fresh and they are a nice size. Definitely a go-to if you like Louisiana style crawfish. Their other seafood options and appetizers are great as well
First time visiting this restaurant and I came here to check out the crawfish. First off we got here just in time..because the line became long very quick. My daughter and I ordered 5lbs, 1/2 of shrimp and a trio bag which consisted of potatoes, corn, and sausage. The crawfish were humongous and for the most part they were seasoned but they could stand to sit in the seasoning a little longer. I would get them again if I needed a crawfish fix. Now the potatoes weren't well seasoned nor was the corn and it was over cooked. My daughter had the cheeseburger and she sent it back because it was completely cooked. Kids don't like pink meat, but when it came back maybe they had changed the bun; she said it was too sweet. One suggestion is to get another register to get the line moving quicker. Overall the vibe is great and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The people definitely keep the place packed so other menu items must be great as well. It was an honor to visit Honore's.
