Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe had an excellent meal again hubby and mum in law are carnivores while I am vegetarian. Starters included cod risotto shared (which both loved) and a fantastic mushroom risotto for me. Mains of lamb, fish and a vegetarian selection for me also went...down a treat. The pear clafoutis, fresh fruit tart both competed with the legendary Grand Mariner soufflé for top spot! Service is friendly and efficient. Our coffees and petit fours were brought out to us in the garden. 10/10
Stayed here for our last night of our holiday wanting somewhere to stay close to the ferry port at Dieppe. Our room overlooked the beautiful gardens and unusually for France had tea and coffee making facilities. Sadly we were unable to take full advantage of...the dinner menu which looked superb, instead limiting ourselves to a main course and coffee, The lamb kebabs were delicious infused throughout with rosemary and the turbot was equally good.
Our friends treated us to dinner at this wonderful place! We were glad we had reservations as place got full as evening went on. We were welcomed warmly. When I mentioned I was vegetarian, was told it was not a problem. The rest of the...group had plenty of choice. We were given amuse bouche (a special beetroot one for me , mini quiches (again I had fresh radishes to the meat for the rest so thoughtful! Starters for the group were salad, oysters, foie gras and salmon. Great portions and extremely fresh. We then had calvados over mango sorbet (to die for as a palate cleanser. Mains of monkfish, lamb, vegetarian assortment, accompanied by excellent wines. The chef has an intrinsic knowledge of flavours and textures!! The piece de resistance of the meal was the soufflé!! Please see the picture attached to appreciate the size...and the best texture ever!! This is a fantastic restaurant we shall definitely be returning
The food here is fantastic and exceptional value for money. We had the four course set menu for 26.50euros, there is also a more expensive set menu and also an a la carte. My husband chose the a la carte on two evening just because...there was so much food on the set menu. They also gave us canapés and amuse bouche before our meal. The staff are absolutely charming and nothing is too much trouble. The restaurant is very busy and was full every night of our stay. Although we stayed at the hotel we had to say if we wanted to eat in the restaurant when we went for breakfast as they could have filled the dinning room twice over. I would advise booking or you may be disappointed. Highly recommended.
Fantastic meal we had the cheaper menu at about 25 euros. It represented tremendous value for money but I think we would have been equally delighted with the more expensive menus at 36 euros. After the tasty mise en bouche, we had oysters, veal...and duck in delicious sauces, neufchatel cheese served on a lightly toasted crouton and wrapped in filo pastry topped with rocket and to finish, perfect crepes suzettes with grandmarnier ice cream. All to die for. Our only difficulty was in deciding what to choose all the options were wonderful. We can't wait to return to try the scallops !
