Home Plate Gastropub - Marysville

Not the best experience. The bar and the vibe are great and you can tell they have regulars but the bartender will literally leave you waiting while chatting with other restaurant staff. Wasn't impressed

My wife and I had visited this place pre-Covid. It 's an entirely different place. It was elevated from a standard Marysville Sports Bar to the 'Gastro Pub ' that fits the new rebranding. The decor and bathrooms are updated with a fresh makeover. However, it has managed to maintain the vibe of a hometown bar with stiff drinks, great service, and great prices. My wife and I spent a few hours here enjoying the company of a very real bartender of 20 years at the place, Shawn, and another super friendly burly bartender, Bird. I 'd highly recommend this place over the sterile industrial places you 'd typically find that are rebranded as a 'gastropub ' or otherwise overpriced, spiritless bars. Say hi, to Shawn or Bird if they are working.

Who cares what an owner decides to call their bar??? Gastro pub ? Dive bar ?? Blah blah We stopped in here tonight for a quick bite to eat. I ordered the burger to my surprise it's served with no sauces on it just how they should come. I can add my own if I want. My burger was great nice and tasty fresh veggies delicious. My wife ordered the BLTA and she really liked it lots of avocado on it. If we're ever in Marysville again we would definitely stop by for a bite to eat. I honestly wonder if people post bad reviews to get the owners funny and snarky responses.

Never gotten bad food here. I have heard the Mac and cheese is to die for, but I have yet to try it. Tacos are good though. Usually a relaxed place and the servers/bartends are great about checking in but not hounding you. Good hang out spot for me.
