I usually love their spicy chicken strips, but these were horrible, the chicken was like dehydrated jerky and the breading was like rock hard pebbles stuck to it. Simply terrible.
Not horrible but not great. Chicken Tenders were dry and thin and for $15 I expect much better.
I haven't had popcorn shrimp in years and it was better than I remember! Although it was spendy for 3 people to eat, we figured with cost of everything rising that it wasn't cheap. The quality of the chicken was perfection. Definitely worth the spent on a nice Sunday afternoon with the family.
The Mac cheese was brilliant but as far as the chicken or lack of chicken was ridicules, it was more like battered chicken jerky. This is why I will not visit a Popeyes again. Churches has the best tenders. Popeyes do a good jerk chicken. I give the two stars for the Mac N cheese
There are two local locations. This one and another one just up in Smokey Point by Hobby Lobby. Same owner, different prices. If you get a two piece meal and ask for it to be all white meat, you?ll end up secretly with an additional $1 charge. The Smokey Point location doesn?t charge for the difference. I unknowingly paid the $1 and finally noticed it. I brought it to the manager?s attention and she refused to offer the same pricing as the other location. I asked for my money back since I hadn?t gotten the food yet. She went back, had me wait 3 minutes, then came back, gave me the food, a dollar bill and told me to never come back. Very rude. I?ve never returned and continue to frequent the Smokey Point location. Better wait staff also. Fresher food too!
