El Nopal Mexican 5 - Maryville

Today, we came to this restaurant during our 1 1/2 hour break between dance events to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Half of our group received their drinks and food orders before they even took our drink order. The other half of the group received their food and had nearly finished eating by the time our drinks arrived. When our waiter brought our drinks, he asked if we were ready to order. However, when we answered, he left and never returned. By that point, we had been there for an hour. My daughter and I eventually had to leave for our next event. We left without being able to order our food or have them sing for my daughter's birthday, which was the whole reason for our visit. My friends, family, and I will not be returning. If I could give negative stars, I would. I would also like to mention that they took orders and served multiple groups that arrived after us.

I ordered 15 chicken tacos for takeout when I arrived at the restaurant, but they were all overcooked. I called and they offered to replace them, so I drove back to the city to pick up the new order. When I got back, the tacos were still overcooked. I called again and spoke with the manager, who argued with me and hung up. Not great customer service when the mistake was on their end.

We always enjoy our time at El Nopal! The food and service are excellent, and the staff is amazing!

The food was good. The service not so much however they were busy towards the end which meant my fried ice cream had melted whip cream and it was super soggy like it sat too long, but again they were getting way busy.

Was staying at the Bearcat Inn and walked over here for dinner, the service took a bit long but they were slammed which is understandable. The food was great I had the mixed burrito and a strawberry margarita which was also very tasty.
