Avaliação da contribuiçãoMy eating was amazing, the cookies and waffeln were for them. the service was even better. if they ever want a good meal without breaking the bank. you have to come here. I'll be back soon!
Amazing customer service. Loved the atmosphere. Some of the workers were not very happy with the cooks, but everything was great. Sat at the bar. Will definitely go back
Best breakfast country I’ve had in McAllen and I’ve been here 4 months! I do like non-dairy substitute, something not offered, overall it was definitely the best breakfast. Eggs were not greasy, Belgian waffle cooked to perfection, blueberries looked freshly picked and bacon was thick and crispy.
Visited for breakfast 3 consecutive days while birding in the lower Valley; twice between 7:30-8 am and once right at opening, 6 am. Food was very good to excellent all visits, two caveats, grits too runny for my taste and my companion thought the potatoes blah. Get grilled biscuits, or hash, instead, with a Country Omelet or fluffy scrambled eggs. Prices very reasonable. Service, at the two later times, was outstanding, fast, informative, and attentive, despite a crowd of locals eating fairly leisurely. Surprisingly, service was slower at opening, though almost empty, staff seemed more interested in setting up and gossiping with each other than moving swiftly to take our order. Still, I 'd eat there again without hesitation. Very good food and value and if early, tell the waiter you are on a schedule, not interested in a leisurely breakfast like their usual crowd.
Dad invited me to breakfast, my choice, see I decided on Country Omelette located on North 10th St. between La Vista and Nolana. We seated ourselves, the server promptly arrived with menus, and took our coffee order. Coffee here is really good, with a variety of offerings on the table to personalize it. My Dad likes french vanilla and Mark our server offered to us with out us having to ask for it. Dad ordered oatmeal and a biscuit, I ordered a cheese and onion omelette with a toasted biscuit. Our plates arrived in good time, Dad's oatmeal was served with a side of brown sugar and one of cinnamon. My omelette came with hash browns that I did not like, to dry and hard to chew. Hash browns can be made ahead of time but these seemed as though they were reheated in the microwave. I really liked the omelette, it was cooked perfectly with the right amount of cheese and onions. Dad really liked the oatmeal, he asked the server for raisins when he came and checked on us. County Omelette scores high in service, I like that there was coffee always coming around for refills, my cup never was less than half full. I also like that they have a bus person to remove plates from the table once you finish eating. I can see myself going back there to eat. I more than likely won't be ordering the hash browns again
