Big Barn Brewing Company - Mead

Great place to have a beer. The outside area is wonderfully shaded and VERY dog friendly. They had music while we enjoyed our beer and it was super mellow and enjoyable. I highly recommend this brewery.

Very nice place, I do wish it has some noise abatement for the louder times. I think you will find something you'll like and enjoy the atmosphere. Love the barn.

My husband and I have visited this brewery twice; once in October and once today (12/17). Both experiences were less than desirable. In October, we sat outside and got our beer from the small barn in the outdoor area. When we walked up, nobody was there. We waited for quite a while before anyone came to take our order. It almost felt like we were bothering the bartender by making him walk over and serve us a beer. Before we left, we went over to the main indoor tasting area and walked around. Brought our dog inside. Saw other dogs inside. No issue. Figured they were a dog friendly venue. Cool.We went back today. It’s winter, 14 degrees outside. The outdoor area is closed for the season. We walk inside the main taproom with our dog. Again, nobody is at the bar. We waited a while before someone came out to serve us. She was nice enough and we ordered our beer. We talked to the bartender about our 10 month old puppy, small talk, but she knew he was with us. She served us our beers and we sat down. Several employees came over and pet our puppy and gave him love. No issues. Then randomly, a guy that works there comes over and tells us that dogs are not allowed at their brewery and that we should have seen the signs posted outside. Very rude. Especially since none of the other employees (including the bartender) said anything to us. We had already cashed out at that point and had to chug our beers and leave. I wish the bartender would have kindly told us that dogs were not allowed before accepting our money and serving us beers. Not to mention that we brought our dog the first time we visited and nobody said a word. Very confusing. The vibes are off here and the beer is just okay. If it wasn’t for the beautiful location, I don’t think they would survive.My advice for the staff would be to get on the same page and treat customers like you appreciate their business. Unfortunately, we won’t be back.

Big barn is such a fun place for beer and family and friends. The staff is super nice and we were able to pick our own pumpkins. Oh yeah and Loved the Dog Stout!

Alway my favorite place to grab a good beer with friends!! We love sitting outside to good music with seasonal beers!
