Avaliação da contribuiçãoOK it's a rainy Monday night in Poblado; the last night our friends are in town before returning to the States. One of our local friends suggested Woka as it was close to the hotel the group was using. After 3 long flights of stairs to the rooftop, it's basically a club. Drinks were pricey for Medellín but normal for Lleras. 6 of us and service was a disaster our friends arrived first and were the only people when we arrived. We waited 10 minutes before someone would come over. We order 3 rounds of the sharing appetizer platters and empanadas. I skipped the food (luckily) as everyone else was ill at the same time within 24 hours except me! Probably something from room temp food or unwashed hands or surfaces, but really we will never go back. In this day and age food poisoning is very avoidable. There are SO many other choices in Lleras especially to eat cross Woka off your list and go to a restaurant for food. And if you are going to Woka get a drink and drink only!
We hardly noticed the sign and was pointed out by a person in our party. After a very long but beautiful set of stairs, we entered a whole different world. A really unique jungle atmosphere that is dark but oh so fun! There is loud music, TV projectors, an awesome full and tall wall of a bar. It is at the top of a building and is open air but we think it has a retractable roof if it rains. The sofas are very comfortable. The service, similar to all of our experiences in Medellin, was prompt and friendly. Follow up after food and drink delivery is also similar to our experiences in this city it doesn't exist. Make sure you flag your server if you need another drink, etc. A very funky and upbeat establishment but we did see many ranges of ages of adults. The value of price to quality is quite good, no problems there at all. One person of our party was displeased with their food so they took the entree off of our bill (we had to ask twice). We would return again.
One of my favorite places to hang out when I’m in Poblado. Open air with music. Getting a little run down, could use a little update. Can’t stand the smoking section, just blows back on to the other customers. Food is surprisingly good. Update the furniture and it’s back to 5 stars.
Amazing atmosphere, great drinks, great service, great food and great prices. a jewel
