Avaliação da contribuiçãoI forgot how great this place is! We hadn't visited since it first opened in the area. The restaurant was very clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. While we were eating, I noticed that someone was always tidying up or taking care of the plants. The spicy fries were our favorites—not too hot, just really delicious. However, if you have a nut allergy, you might want to be cautious, as they provide free ground nuts while you wait, and there are peanuts and their dust everywhere.
Used to be a great place to get some amazing burgers but now the service and food quality has gone way down hill... Food is extremely overpriced for the quality it is now. Burgers are sloppy and poorly put together. The little fry used to be a good portion for $4.00, it was definitely worth the price, but now they don't even fill the cup it comes in, it was literally like 10-15 fries which is pretty ridiculous for the price. We were in the middle of telling the cashier our order when they answered the phone and proceeded to take their order instead and it took 2-3 minutes as the phone order was $61.50 and had lots of burgers on it that were now going to be made ahead of our order that we had already started saying. Will never go here again.
I’m a little skeptical of five guys because the ones in BC have really gone downhill with quality and atmosphere. They used to yell your order and be quite lively before, which is exactly how I felt coming into this location. Even later at night they were very friendly and put out fresh fries. A great location with excellent quality burgers, hot dogs and shakes. Would absolutely go back to this location on the way back through town
We stopped at Five Guys while passing through, as we enjoy it back in Calgary. The food was tasty, but the atmosphere felt bizarre, almost like stepping into the Twilight Zone. The staff member taking our order struggled to hear us over the blasting heavy metal music. When we mentioned the volume, he simply acknowledged it and continued to headbang while he took our order. The restaurant was a mess, likely from a recent rush, and there were limited seating options available. The cook shouted out the order numbers with such intensity that it felt like an angry line cook in a war zone. The so-called "manager" walked around with her phone glued to her face, seemingly doing nothing—it's unclear if she was even on a call. We asked her to lower the heavy metal music, but she claimed it had to be that loud and that they weren’t allowed to turn it down. The table cleaner looked frustrated, the order taker was still headbanging to the music, the cook was preoccupied with cooking and yelling orders, and the manager appeared to be out shopping for what looked like alcohol, perhaps for a heavy metal music party. It was truly the strangest evening we’ve experienced! The Five Guys in Calgary is nothing like this!
The atmosphere at Five Guys restaurants is consistent across the franchise, and this location was a perfect stop during our road trip. The food was excellent, and the service was good. I would definitely recommend it!
