Schlundhaus - Meiningen

About a year ago we were in Meiningen and were in Schloss Landsberg for a few days. This offer also included a lunch at the Schlundhaus. There were beef bags with red cabbage and real Thuringian clubs. The ambience of the restaurant Schlundhaus was very appealing. The service was very accommodating and nice. The food was tastefully good, but from our point of view nothing special. They didn't tear us off the chair either. They were not better than the Bavarian dumplings from the Hintermeierhof in Münchshofen. We therefore believe that Thüringer Klöße is not better than all others have eaten so far. Traditionally handmade knocking (button,) there are also where different and they are not worse.

Small rooms that need to be overhauled, not a minibar, for so much with furniture. The breakfast buffet is very small, little varied, but you can get tired. Coffee, tea and juice are available. There are no drinks in the rooms. The reception is only occupied from 3 a.m. to 6 p.m., which comes at other times must contact the owners by phone. The location in the center is very good. The house has no elevator. The room price is significantly too high for comfort.

Great cozy hotel in the middle of Meiningen, in a quiet side street. No problem checkin, cheap garage, fine communication in advance. Tasty breakfast
