Avaliação da contribuiçãoExcellent!! Had the burger with beef and fried chicken and it was one of the tastiest burgers I have had in Melbourne, delicious! And the chips...... possibly the best ever. Crunchy with some amazing salt on them and a dipping sauce to die for.
This restaurant is situated on Chapel Street across from Windsor station. It has a fantastic atmosphere and the service is friendly. They offer a great beer happy hour and participate in the Zomato Gold deal. Additionally, they have a wonderful upstairs lounge and a rooftop beer garden.
The burgers here are big and filling, but also on the pricey side. If you have a big appetite, it's probably worth it. They serve indulgent burgers similar to what you would find at American style restaurants, with multiple patties and rich toppings. I ordered a burger with a fried chicken patty and beef patty, along with lettuce, tomato, cheese, bacon, and sauce for $17. We also tried their basic $12 burger, which surprisingly didn't come with lettuce or tomato, so we had to add lettuce for an extra $1. We also ordered Poutine chips with gravy, cheese, and bacon for $13. My beef and chicken burger was satisfying, and along with the chips, I didn't need to eat dinner later. The bun was soft and moist, which was a huge plus. The cheese was perfectly melted, the chicken was not dry like at some places, and the beef patty actually tasted like good quality meat on its own. Overall, I was pretty pleased. It was a bit pricey, but with the voucher, it was fine. The only thing I would prefer less of is the BBQ sauce on the bacon. The bacon (both on the burger and on the loaded chips) was cut into small pieces and covered in BBQ and other sweet sauces, which was a bit overpowering, but that's the American-style burger vibe. The chips were average crinkle cut chips with paprika seasoning, similar to what you would find at other places. They weren't very crispy, even when fresh, but with the toppings, they were decent and generous.
Every Wednesday Southside Central do $1 wings and they are amazing! They were delicious, great flavour and fantastic value for money. The buffalo wings were my favourite. I will definitely be going back to this place next Wednesday!
Today, I met my partner and a friend for lunch at Southside Central. The service was good and we ordered a HOT Mama burger, which was a self-saucing chili and cheese stuffed meat patty with ghost chili, etc. This was the hottest thing I've ever eaten! At first, the chili was mild, but then it got hotter, and my head started to sweat. The chicken burger was really good, and we also ordered stuffed jalapeños and loaded fries. We were all so full that we had to walk for half an hour just to help digest everything. And my ****** Mary was awesome, really tasty and good fun! Happy Saturday!
