Just had another great casual lunch at Friends of Mine. Whilst it has a good menu my friend and I usually have the chicken baguette. The baguettes are always fresh and crunchy. The coffee is good and the service friendly and you never feel rushed. On a nice day, like today, we sat outside. If you feel a bit chilly blankets are provided. For a more restaurant type lunch you can sit in the cosy dining room. A great place for locals and visitors alike! Try it.
Came here with some friends after Palm Sunday Service and it was packed!! as soon as we got there we were greeted by a girl holding a file. There were no tables available so she took down my name and put us on the waiting list. Really happy about how organised they are. We only had to wait for 5 mins for the table which was really good! I ordered the matcha latte which was good but cost $6! Usually in most cafes it's about $4.5 so I found this too pricey! The food however was amazing! Presentation was super! check out my photos! Food took less than 10mins to arrive which was quite impressive since the cafe was full! We all enjoyed our meal a lot! Will definitely recommend this place to my friends! Thanks guys and keep up the good work!
Had really high hopes for this place... I had passed it multiple times and wanted to try it for a while. Finally, upon almost going to my favourite place close by, I decided to give it a try. I wasn't fully disappointed. The coffee was presented well, tasted good and even my main meal was good (although highly overpriced..). But for such a sunny, bright and happy day, the staff just seemed down in the dumps. Service really does play a big part, and it sadly didn't sit well with me.For that reason alone, I don't think I'll be back. :(
Lovely all day breakfast menu...Always very busy on weekend mornings with a queue however I went at lunchtime and got a seat immediately...the poached eggs and everything with it were very nice however it's the priciest place I've had breakfast, an extra $9 for a tomato and a potato rosti, so almost $28 without a drink is pretty pricey! I guess you're paying for location, loved the food though.
