Avaliação da contribuiçãoIt appears that this restaurant is dedicated to following good practices in order to ensure the production of gluten-free foods. The gluten-free pizza I ordered was superb. There were also numerous other gluten-free options available. The staff was efficient, friendly, and seemed to have a solid understanding of gluten-free foods.

As soon as we stepped in, we were greeted with some friendly staff at the door. <br/ <br/ The place looked amazing! It was very spacious and looked like a modern industrial like building surrounded by brick walls and nice butterfly wall art. There is even a toys area for kids to play in!<br/ <br/ We ordered a raspberry lemonade to start with, and then ordered these yummy dishes:<br/ <br/ Sticky fried chicken fresh chilli, spring onion, sesame seeds: This was one of the recommended dishes and it sure tasted delicious! It was bite sized boneless chicken covered in a thick unique sauce mmmmm...<br/ <br/ Crispy pork belly cubes with toasted macadamia salad These cubes were huge and there were a lot of them! The meat was cooked perfectly and each was topped with a crackling pork on top. Was told the way to eat it is to place a cube on your plate and then pour the hot sauce over it so it turns into this melt in mouth goodness! Definitely was a different experience eating it with the sauce and without it!<br/ <br/ Garlic prawn, parsley, mozzarella, calamari wood fired pizza This was actually one of the best pizza's I've ever had! The dough was really nice and crunchy, the tomato base was really really tasty and not sour, and the garlic prawn and calamari was just soo good on top! No chewy bits and the scent was just so irresistable when it arrived at the table. Craving for this now!! I must go back for this pizza as I can't get this taste anywhere else!<br/ <br/ We finished off the with Sticky date pudding toffee sauce well I can't stop eating it in the middle of the meal already because it was just sitting there looking so good. The toffee sauce was spot on and the sticky date pudding was just so delicious!<br/ <br/ I loved everything about this place and I will definitely bring more friends to come back and try the lamb shoulder that they recommended (but you need to be super hungry to devour it I heard)! Thank you Mitcham Social for the awesome dinner.
I was expecting Mitcham Social to be some sort of classic Aussie gastropub but was pleasantly surprised to find it has much more going on that that. The venue is massive and located in what looks like an old barn that’s been fully revamped. It features a stage, cool light fixtures, a big pizza oven and a vibe that feels very American, thus appealing to my nostalgia. I visited on a Sunday afternoon and the place was packed. While the menu is pretty classic, there are tons of veggie options or alterations including a sweet and sticky tofu (as an alternative for chicken) with a finger-licking good sauce. I’m such a fan of saganaki and this spot’s variation served with roquette and dried fruit jam doesn’t disappoint. I also tried the super cheesy Margherita and the roquette and pear salad to freshen things up. My partner and I somehow managed to demolish everything (including pots of sour beer and milk stout) despite getting full towards the end because the flavours all merged so well. On top of the good food and ambiance, the service at Mitcham Social is top notch. In line with the American feel, the hospitality is great, in true southern US fashion.
Our host was friendly and cheerful. I look forward to returning in the warmer months. Previous Review: I visited Mitcham Social with my extended family to celebrate multiple birthdays. The venue, located in an old industrial area, exuded rustic charm. Despite it being a Sunday night, there was still a lively atmosphere. We had a large table for 12, but it could have easily accommodated 20. The menu featured a variety of pizzas and American-style bar snacks. Most of us ordered the wildfire pizza and the garlic and prawn pizza, both of which were delicious with bubbly crusts. We also enjoyed buffalo chicken wings with chips and a blue cheese dipping sauce. The wings were spicy and messy – the perfect combination. We sipped on pints while Kellie tried the Southside spritz cocktail on tap. Unfortunately, our evening was cut short at 8pm due to closing time on a Sunday night. The venue is kid-friendly, with an ice cream counter and play area. Cocktails were around $20 and pints were $13, with a reasonable wine selection available.
