The Colonel's Son - Melbourne

Really chill vibes at this quaint cafe with friendly staff and great food! Had the Colonel’s breakfast and was pleasantly surprised with the portion size. Will definitely return on our next mini adventure to Black Rock!

Had brunch here today with a friend. Had the veggie breakfast whilst he had the colonel’s breakfast. Large portions, so delicious that we kept eating even after we were full. Coffee was fantastic too and the staff very friendly. Loved the view from upstairs also. It’s now my friend’s favourite café in Melbourne. Will return soon

Fantastic location, we sat upstairs in the quieter dining room with magnificent views of the bay. Warm, cosy, great waitress and delicious ham cheese toasties! Kid friendly too (our 11 month old was crawling around everywhere! . The coffee was made far too strong. We ordered two regular lattes and the weren’t drinkable, tasted like doubles if not more. We buy a lot of take away coffee and never need to order ‘weak’. We asked the barista if they could re-make which he did, but made a point of telling us to order ‘weak’ in the future, in a very arrogant way. Thumbs down to him but everything else was great!

A great addition to the Black Rock area serving up delicious food drinks! Situated on Beach road with great views. Indoor and our door eating available! <br <br Upstairs is also open spacious a great little spot to sit down and study!

Have been here many times and almost always gravitate towards the fish tacos! They are so delish! This location is also perfect, so great to pop in after a run on the beach.
