Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe were here from friends to dinner at a rainy night in December. the restaurant is located in a park (the landestwin school, melle,) which houses a series of medieval buildings and is apparently used by a local sports school. the homeyard is located in one. this spectacular building. the restaurant consists of a series of rooms that are separated by wood framed railings on two planes. we sat in a long table next to the kamin. after an excellent beer I enjoyed a beautiful pumpkin ginger soup and a hearty (after the pounded) venison rolled to mushroom in a juis, served with purple cabbage and knoodl on the side (sortment of a potato dumpling). if in German ready for cauliflower and kartoffel at almost any meal; salads are rare and are ordered in the regular special. my wife had the rustic builders stew of pork medallions, sweet and carrots fried in a flat, black pan and served with a simple salat. our friends had also overlaid the baked salmon with crispy kartoffeln hash-browns. we all enjoyed to finish cake, ice and tee. the food was delicious, but the locals made it even better; all old wood friaming, heavy dark beams, camein, country separate sitting areas and flat, and wood framed led windows. very cool. for better weather and maybe something outside light would have been better.
We've been dining here with a big group of friends. the service was excellent, especially in consideration of the size of our group, and eating was delicious and freshly cooked. the interior of the restaurant is beautifully furnished and the building is located in a very beautiful park. thanks for the experience!
The restaurant is very well furnished, with a very beautiful and attractive environment. eating was fantastic, all very fresh, very tasty, with charm! realy recommended.
Beautiful restaurant in a beautiful park area. our diner was fantastic. everything is done on the day and nothing is made of packages. the prices are very reasonable. service was very friendly. we will certainly return to this restaurant when we are in the opposite.
We were taken here by friends for dinner on a rainy night in December. The restaurant is in a park (the Landestwinschule, Melle) which holds a number of medieval buildings, and is apparently used by a local sports school. The Heimathof is located in one...of these spectacular buildings. The restaurant consists of a series of rooms separated by timber framed railings on two levels. We were seated in a long table next to the fireplace. After an excellent beer, I enjoyed a lovely pumpkin ginger soup, and a hearty (after being pounded) venison rolled around mushrooms in a juis, served with purple cabbage and knoodl on the side (sort of a potato dumpling). When in German be ready for cabbage and potatoes at almost every meal; salads are rare and are usually specially ordered. My wife had the rustic farmers stew of pork medallions, veggies and potatoes fried in a shallow blackened pan and served with a simple salad. Our friends also had the baked salmon overlaid with crispy potatoes hash browns. We all enjoyed cake, ice cream and teas to finish. The food was delicious but the locale made it even better; all the old timber framing, heavy dark beams, fireplace, railings separating seating areas and levels, and timber framed leadened windows. Very cool. In better weather and maybe some outdoor light, this would have been even better.
