Hotel Restaurant Becher - Mettmann

We ate twice in a week in this restaurant. Both times we went to the museum and the surrounding area. The first time we waited for our food for an hour. The place was full inside and there were a number of us out. We saw several tables standing outside and going. We gave this place a second chance, and on return there were only a few tables occupied, so we expected the food and service to be more timely than the first. Wrong! This time it took 45 minutes. Someone approached the server to say that they didn't even get a menu and was told they just have to wait. Both times when the food came, it was good and nicely prepared.

This restaurant belongs to the family and the service is very good. Typical German food of excellent quality and a fresh beer. The place is right next to the Neandertal Museum. I will return.

This was our second visit to Hotel Becher for lunch. It is located next to the fascinating Neandertal Museum and close to some pleasant hiking areas. The welcome and service cannot be failed, the food excellently presented and very good quality. This is one of those places where you feel at home and want to stay for a drink after a good meal! We will be back very soon for another relaxing, delicious lunch.

This restaurant is family owned and the service is very good. Typical German food of excellent quality and a fresh draft beer with it. The place is located right next to the Neanderthal museum. I will return.
