Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe went because we saw good reviews, it was very disappointing to find out that it was the same place named café O, they only made some changes to the restaurant, the only good thing was the service, everything else was terrible, the food had...no taste at all, the prices are extremely high, we had a Apple and Parmesan artichoke carpaccio, roasted thyme beets ripe goat cheese, Grilled asparagus salad and Provencal dressing (we returned the salad), Penne Pomodoro and Warm Burrata, Octopus popcorn with caper spicey mayonnaise, onion soup with croutons and gruyere, for dessert chocolate cake with marzipan ice cream, we are not going back ever again!
We went for dinner, the food was ok, extremely expensive for what we had and the portions, the place was ok, the service not so good, we had to ask twice for different things, at the waiter came and said if we wanted anything...else because they were about to close, he started to pick up things from the table, like he was in a hurry, we had hummus not so good, lentil soup was ok, penne with a creamy tomato sauce, it had more sauce than pasta, we had tuna tartar was ok, beef carpaccio it was very dry and no taste at all, fettuccine Alfredo without salmon nothing great, the taste was terrible, Brussels sprouts they only came half’s, artichoke salad Poor taste and poorly served, to drink we only had water and coke, I was shocked when I received the check, unbelievable expensive!! Never going back again,
We got there at pm and there where may have been tables total, we ordered after minutes and waited. It took them over and a half hours to serve salads and an onion soup, by that time we were the...only table in the restaurant. Btw, I sent the soup back, it was really bad. Even the check had mistakes and we were over charged. (Eventually they fixed the check). Never going back there.
You wrote a review for Café Ó One minute ago star rating Café Ö can be a hit or miss. Lately its been more hits than misses. They have stuff to work on. For example, the incense smoke in the entrance is annoying....The dimmed lights in the Sunday breakfast are too low, it is imposible to read the menu. Maybe they do that so the costumers just ask for the basics, which are good. Like the molletes, eggs albañil style. The juices are generic, not very natural. The service is ok. Café Ó has lots of potential, but it gets diluted. It is hard to a place thats been there for years to change. I can live with it as it is. I like it.
Its a very original menu which has lots of quality surprises, unusual pastas, bold combination of ingredients and an excellent taste in every dish they serve. The chef Paola is not only very concern about every detail but she's also very attractive!
