Avaliação da contribuiçãoI am from San Diego California and I came to this place when I visited some friends here and tried to eat these places before I went back home and everything I can say is that this was one of the best restaurants I've ever been for bbq dishes. San Diego doesn't really have many good bbq restaurants except Phil?s BBQ. I enjoyed the food here and the whole staff was so friendly.
We ate there and take out. We ordered 3 bar-b-ques. 2 large with sides. 1 reg. We only got 1 jumbo and 2 small. Take out was hamburger with fries and potato salad. Potato salad was not even a small spoonful. We have always had good service until today. Also, the beans was like pork n beans.
This place is awesome and never disappointing. I got here everytime I visit the area. Blows Central BBQ out of the water. It looks and smells like a BBQ place should. The ladies behind the counter were super helpful. They know ribs and brisket. The brisket was hand cut and the sauces are awesome. We tried everything to include the peach cobbler, which is hot and ready. Choose any meat, you can't go wrong. Highly recommend patronizing this place. Don't go too late, they may be out of some meats, because it's soooo good. Priced well, great meal for under $20.
Outstanding BBQ!!! The brisket falls apart so easily, no need for a knife. The meat is so tender on the pork ribs. There's no struggle to bite off the meat! The bbq chips are home made every day, with generous seasoning. The staff is super nice and helpful. The food is served quickly and directly to your table.
I ordered small chips and cheese small pork small fries for my son?large bbq nachos with sauce on side because all you had was hot and I don?t do hot with a side of beans for me. I ordered my husband a half slab with baked beans and fries?. what we got was a chips and cheese that the cheese sauce was ruined and ICE a cold. No pork no fries. A large bbq nachos with sauce on it after I specifically said sauce on the side cause I don?t do hot but the girl just kept insisting it wasn?t hot so? My husband got a half slab ribs no beans no fries. And ALL of it was cold in the time it took to drive from the restaurant to magnolia inn. For $40. Never again will I ever stop here. Made it a point to come because I?m not from here but two years ago the food and service was amazing. Now I wouldn?t stop here if it was the last stop for 1,000 miles! and to top it off one of the girls was rude and completely ignored me while I was speaking to her and walked right past me and behind the counter without even acknowledging that I had spoke. Oh and we took it to go trying to be nice cause they said you close at 7 but online it says 8. I tried numerous times to call but got a busy signal so they must of taken the phone off the hook!
