Coup D'etat - Minneapolis

This restaurant is amazing! It's such a shame that it is closing. We are really going to miss their Sunday funday brunch.

This was our first time at the restaurant and we loved everything about it. It was notable that even though it turns out that we dined the night before closing, the service and the food were spot on. We never would have known except that we inquired about renting the party room and were told of the closing. The decor is nothing short of fabulous, and the food was creative and delicious but not over the top trying to impress. The staff were friendly and professional. Minneapolis is losing a gem.

I would have a hard time recommending this restaurant since it's closing on October 1st. Their all-you-can-eat fried chicken dinners were amazing and will be missed. Thank you, Coup d'Etat, for your delicious food, drinks, and service!

I would love to rave about this restaurant, but unfortunately, they are undergoing a name and concept change. One disappointing experience I had was when I ordered a smoked Manhattan (which I've enjoyed there in the past), but it wasn't smoked. When I brought this up to the bartender, he explained that he was actually a chef filling in for the regular bartender who was on a break. Despite this, the buffet was still delicious.

Well, it's hard to say what I would recommend the restaurant when it's closed on October 1st. Your all you can eat Fried Chicken dinners were WONDERFUL and will really be missed. Thank you Coup d'Etat for your excellent food, drinks and service!!!
