Avaliação da contribuiçãoThe food was good. the sushi was a little for the price. it is better to buy from meijer honestly. equal price, better made, fresh daily, larger part. the service was terrible. she didn't wake up if we wanted to nudge or ride with our dinner and I got rice. it was okay, but the nudges would have been better. I was not offered soy sauce and had to ask quickly for our suppe and salat because it did not seem to be harassed with us. I treated her a better table. I used to be a server that knows they're profiled people. I and my man were casually dressed and look young so they probably decided that we were not worth their time. I've tipped them a little over 20 percent, because she might have been frustrated with something or whatever, but her tipp would have been better if she at least tried to take care of herself. I'll never be back.
Not a thing wrong with this place. Sushi on point, cooked dish was done right. Little portions but probably filling to most people. Bathrooms a little old but still good. Wait staff very pleasant.
Food was okay to good. But service was just not very good at all. It was on a Friday, so I expected to wait around even with reservations, but took a easy 10 minutes for host to acknowledge our presence let alone seat us. And our waitress was hustling, but never served salads, soups, or even soy sauce even after asking about it a couple of times. Our party of 7 had the first 3 and the last 4 served main courses about 20 minutes apart, which was awkward. And I think everyone got a single refill after about a hour and then never again.
Eloquent Japanese cuisine. The foundation of this beautiful place is the family running it; plenty of food businesses that could should be taking notes here.-Introduce your taste buds to the Godzilla Sushi Roll with spring roll sauce, you will not be disappointed.
We have loved going to Koto for special birthdays with family for the last few years. Today, however, the experience was absolutely awful. The Hibachi chef did not talk to the table, did not so any of the fun things we have come to love and expect from Koto (even though we had children with us). He served the guest on his left (not a member of our party) such a huge amount of each thing item, the rest of the nearly full table had very small portions. My husband asked for no veggies and rather than give his portion to those of us in our party, on the check we are paying, he only offered them to the other people at the table. And beyond this, the steak and shrimp were so overcooked they were barely edible (which makes no sense since literally all he did was cook the food! No show, excitement, fire or distraction The food was underseasoned as well and did not live up to what we expect from Koto.Beyond this, my son asked for a kids Hibachi meal. He asked if he could have half chicken/ half steak. Now, there is no kids section at all on the menu, and he has been able to do this in the past at no extra fee. This time, we were charged for 2 meals for my son, who definitely did not have 2 portions worth of food. We were not informed this would be the case ahead of time or given the option to change his order before the additional charge was added. Our server was pleasant, but the extra meal charge and lack of drink refills just added to an already exceedingly frustrating and disappointing dinner.
