Avaliação da contribuiçãoPho was great. broth was good. it had enough taste, but it was not intense enough to be authentic pho broth. fresh garnel spring rolls were great! tasting as it should. the only really bad thing about this place is that it always packs because the restaurant is too small. because the place is so small, the level of customer service and cleanliness is amazing.
I am still steaming with anger at my experience at the I love Pho on Burnhamthorpe. My husband and I have been going there ever since they opened about 6+ years ago. I order their Bun Rieu 98% of the time because it 's my favorite. I used to love the soup at this location but since they reopen after a year-long renovation it hasn 't been as tasty, but still not bad. That 's why we tend to go to their 2nd location on Dundas St. because the soup taste like what it use to be at the Burnhamthorpe location. We went to the Burnhamthorpe location tonight for convenience. I order the soup and when it came out I didn 't ’t even recognized it as Bun Rieu. Usually, the soup at both their locations have reddish tomato-ie broth, with sliced pork knuckles, chunks of stewed tomatoes, blood puddings, tofu puffs, and crab paste meatballs thingy. My soup tonight was clear, no sign of tomatoes, 1 cube of blood pudding, 2 tofu puffs (normal , 1 crab paste meatball thingy, and 1 tiny piece of sliced pork skin with no other meat in sight. I was so shocked at the the patheticness of my soup that my husband help call over a waiter. I ask him, what is this ? He replied, Bun Rieu . I showed him my soup and told him there is barely any stuff in it and no meat in sight. His reply was do I know what Bun Rieu was. I said yes, and I had it dozens of times here over the past 5-6 years but never like this. He just shugged and walked away and a female manager(? came over and I showed and told her the same thing. She then walked away without saying anything. I refused to eat the soup and pushed it aside because I didn 't pay $14 for broth and noodles and an extremely anemic amount of toppings. If they had ran out of the soup they should have told me and i would 've order something else, but they have no right to serve me this pathetic bowl of soup! Ten minutes goes by and the manager came out with a small bowl with an additional piece of blood pudding and 2-3 thin slices of meat. I was too boiling angry to want to touch anything. My husband ate a bit of my soup because he didn 't want to waste food. We paid and left. I will never, ever, step a foot in that restaurant again.
This is one of my vietnamese restaurants because they're the one of the very few restaurants that serves lotus stem salad. It is so delicious. But also the quality and amount of food you get is worth and tasty.
The value for the portion size of noodles and meat at this restaurant is excellent. A medium house special will likely more than satisfy your hunger. Although the soup base wasn't my favorite, everything else was delicious!
Even though the restaurant was packed on Saturday, we were seated promptly and savored a tasty bowl of Bun Bo Hue! The portions were generous for the price and we were pleasantly surprised by the ample amount of meat included.
