Avaliação da contribuiçãoEating, drinking and our server were great, per usual. prices seemed higher and less food than before. Yes, we notice. I'm not a fan of the new location at all. feels cheap and such a departure from the previous, beloved location. we were so close to the next table that we have gedimt quite a lot together, nice couple tho. feels like we were in a big, bright cafeteria. but the green beans pulled us back. this was my favorite place in missoula, by far. I wish I could just go back to the old position, maybe a little less lighter? I don't know how to fix it, it's just sad.
Good covid precautions and delicious meal. Updated: 4/8/2022: New location looks nice. I did takeout today. 99%of the meal was delicious. The green beans, which were my favorite, were inedible due to the saltiness. Takeout was ready on time. Update 7/12/22: We tried dine in today. Only had a 20 minute wait, if that. Food was good. Waitress was super nice. The water tasted like bleach or some cleaning solution to everyone at our table and I noted other customers not drinking theirs as well and it was hot out today. We notified the waitress. Drink menu was outdated but is apparently waiting on corporate approval.
GROSS. I was surprised considering all the great reviews. The sweet and sour sauce was so far from what sweet and sour SHOULD taste like. I found myself scraping it off just to eat because the meal was SO expensive, I couldn’t afford to forgo the meal! 2 stars for ambiance. Don’t waste your time.. or money.
Mustard Seed has been a favorite since before they were in the mall. The new restaurant really downgraded itself. It’s like walking into a cafeteria. Everything has changed about this restaurant. The food isn’t the same, the bar drinks used to be amazing, now not so much and they don’t have things they used to. Overall, the atmosphere is what got to me. The restaurant turned from a wonderful dining experience to a mall cafe. I am assuming it’s not owned by the same person anymore, because I didn’t see his smiling familiar face, nor do the waitstaff have any idea who he is. Such a great loss for Missoula
We were trying to enjoy a dinner on the patio tonight until the salt and pepper man bun manager at this establishment came out side to essentially shoo away all of us on the patio because of a storm that may come through. Firstly radar showed it going south of town. Secondly instead of helping speed our food along we were just reminded it was the risk we took sitting outside and they were full inside…wow. Probably the rudest interaction at a restaurant ever for me. Management at mustard seed, you should be ashamed of this staff member.
