Avaliação da contribuiçãoGreat filipino food. Contemporary take on classic filipino food. Famous filipino dishes are available and are only cooked once you order its not fastfood but the wait time is not bad) maybe a 10 minute wait tops. Clean and an accomodating place withfriendly staff. Price is just right and parking was not a problem. You have to try their pancit and halo-halo.
Visited this place because I am always interested in this ype of food. I have to say the interior surprised me it was modern looking, that is compared to other local Filipino establishments that are kind of plain even homey of that is the right word todescribe that. This place has a water dispenser though. Haha. All Pinoy restaurants seem to have that. I ordered the pancitmalabon $10) and fish ball skewers $3). Prices are fair: you do get what you pay for. I do have to agree the flavours are kindof light and could use a bit more salt, but the condiments are right by the counter. Use them. The pancit malabon has thickcornstarch noodles that were done well. Sauce is very good with a the distinctive taste of fermented shrimp paste. Again it wasa portion that was satisfying and will fill you up. In addition it comes with two small lumpia rolls. Could use another grilledshrimp though. Fish ball skewers come in a pair of two with 4 balls on each skewer. They were lightly fried and were soft tobite into. They didn't have any bounce and not rubbery at all. I wish the sauce was the a garlic vinegar sauce instead of thebottled sweet chili sauce that came with it. I also had some kwek kwek $3.50) battered eggs). They were fine: chicken eggsinstead of quail eggs. The batter was crisp, but could use more flavour. The hard boiled egg inside was done perfectly. This isa great place to go, food is done well and is authentic to an extent. Again I must put a reminder that Filipino food usually donot have bold flavours. The food here is representative of that.
Spicy crispy fish was delicious, and is one of my favorite dishes here. The halo halo is the best in the area. I love the all-day breakfast menu for lunch (tocino to longanisa). They're always playing good movies on their big screen. Love eating here!
We've been waiting to try this place for weeks. They are only open on Saturday and Sunday! My Mother lived in the Philippines for 17 years and loved the people and native food.Got there and a bad omen we were the only one. I've also tried several around Houston and none were really that good!We ordered three things. Tapa, which is a beef I always liked as a child when Mom made it. Lechon which is a crispy pork and pansit!I just made Pancit a week ago, but wanted to taste their version!I also had Mikey with me and he is Particular about what he eats. They brought my tapa, and... Mikey loved it and ate it all! My Mother's was far better!!The pansit came out with shrimp and I was totally not impressed! Mine is 10 times better!Milton had the Lechon which was like pork skins and that's not how Lechon is. Oh well, still looking for good Filipino food!
