El Campesino - Monroeville

I had a terrible experience at the restaurant. I ordered carnitas tacos, but what I received was not carnitas; it was a poor quality meat that was mostly just skin. I was hoping they'd be good, but they were quite disappointing. Overall, I did not enjoy them at all.

The food was visually appealing and had a great aroma, but while I was eating, I discovered an unexpected object in the meat. They offered to remove one meal from the bill, yet my husband and I ended up not finishing either of our dishes. They claimed it was a piece of tomato skin, but what I found was definitely not that! I really don't even want to speculate on what it could have been.

I absolutely love the bean dip, typical burritos, and mole ranchero. There are many other dishes worth trying too. The food is consistently great, and the service is always excellent.

It is absolutely impossible to go wrong with a chimichanga. It always hits the spot.
