"We stayed in a fancy place near Montemor and wanted to go out for a simple local dinner one evening. It was a challenge in itself to find a restaurant in this tiny little village, and among the few options we had, we decided to come here. From the outside it looks like a western saloon, inside it is cosy and with another couple we were the only ones. The service was good, the waiter very friendly. Without us asking, he brought the typical portuguese starters (cheese, sausage, olives..) which were very nice but we later found out we had been charged for them (and not little) while it seemed like a courtesy of the house at first. The main course left a lot to be desired, it was rather oily, the fries were soggy... so not really enjoyable. The deserts were limited and didn't impress us either. But we still enjoyed the evening there but there might be better options in Montemor-o-novo."

"Fomos ao O Arado por uma indicação e a surpresa não poderia ser melhor. O atendimento pode até ser melhor mas em absolutamente nada deixou a desejar e nem de perto atrapalhou a nossa experiência gastronômica. Pedimos 2 pratos: Terra e Mar, também por indicação, e Arroz de Camarão. Além disso, pedimos migas alentejanas para acompanhar. Não poderia ter sido melhor! O prato Terra e Mar é composto por carne de porco, gambas, camarões tigres e polvo. Simplesmente delicioso! Isso tudo por um preço justo e ainda vem acompanhado com uma belíssima vista da cidade de Montemor-o-Novo. Vale à pena!"
