You won 't find any of the three restaurants in Montenero Sabino by searching Trip Advisor US, which has misinterpreted the address for all three restaurants in Montenero Sabino: Trattoria La Quercia, Le Streghe Agriturismo, and Agriturismo I Filari, locating them in the city of Rieti, whereas Rieti is the name of their county, not their town the city of Rieti is 17 km away, not nearby. Trip Advisor UK correctly locates Trattoria La Quercia and Agriturismo I Filari in the town of Montenero Sabino, but places Le Streghe Agriturismo in the city of Rieti, following Trip Advisor US 's mistake. So if you can actually find Le Streghe Agriturismo despite Trip Advisor US and UK, AND if you call ahead rather than show up for lunch or dinner mid week unannounced, you won 't be disappointed. The food is inexpensive, very tasty and uncommonly light, unlike the heavily oiled and mostly fried offerings at many regional restaurants, including La Quercia. No menu here you are offered what 's available that day from their garden and suppliers. Show up without calling, as my wife and I did, and you might find them out of red wine, and offering only a white that should not have been offered. We 'll come back and call at least a day ahead.

Beautiful place in the middle of the enchanted woods. Practicing yin yoga in a pagoda surrounding by the trees, following by great dinner in the patio tasting fresh vegetarian and vegan yummy dishes made with local products. Everyone is super friendly and interesting. Pianeta Verde is a real gem of relaxation and high vibrations. Amazing place!

We went for a 1.5hr yoga session,followed by a vegetarian meal of locially sourced ingredients, many being wild. Excellent on both counts. Great teacher,great food and amazing friendly people .... and great little dog. All surrounded by the beautiful forest of Sabina. Thourougly recommended if thats what your after. Enjoy.

I spent 4 nights at Le Streghe on the occasion of a Yoga retreat. The location is fantastic if you want to be completely immersed in nature, flowers, birds, butterflies and more. Elisabetta and Edoardo are lovely hosts and made miracles to accomodate each request (vegetarian, vegan, no dairy, no aubergines etc etc, you know what we yoga types are like! they received from the group and food was great all along. The rooms are small but comfortable, the only negative point I would rise relates to the shared bathrooms, which are very basic although they do have a working shower. This place is perfect for yoga retreats, having a beautiful octagonal practice room surrounded by greenery. All in all I think the new owners are on a great path and I hope they will be very successful.
