Menu is way too big and they don't do anything good. Too bad for them. Service was not good. Restaurant was hardly full. And we got a refill on the pop when we were ready to leave. Water was great. Coleslaw is horrible. Chicken Taco...More

Schwartz's. Lesters, and Snowdon Deli set the standard of excellence for quality of smoked meat, for which Montreal is famous. It's difficult to match their high standards. However, Nickels is not only worse than you can possibly imagine, food-wise, even though the prices are reasonable, there is no value for the money. Quality of meat is horrible. I would never go back there if someone paid me an outrageous amount to go there. I don't want to say anymore because there is nothing good about the place or its food or service. I'm surprised that they are still around.

Yes! I wanted quick, reasonably priced, big serve of good food. I was hungry! I got it all on my firt night in Montreal, Canada.

I am in Montreal and I enjoy a nice smoke meat sandwich. This is one of the best place to get this. Do not expect great dining. The place is not a fine dining establishment and I have problems calling it a restaurant. Greasy spoon is more appropriate. However, the food is good for what it is. The portions are excellent and the prices are good. If you are up late and are looking at a bit of a sinful meal that is not calorie wise, that is the place.

Was a really cool spot ,,,staff were great ,,,love smoked meat sandwiches and these guys have the best ,,,yes will go back every chance i get. cannot say enough for this place and staff.
