Fire Oak Montvale

This restaurant offers a pleasant atmosphere with sweet and attentive staff. However, the food falls short of expectations. The sushi lacked flavor, truffle fries were unsalted and oily, ribs were basic, and the steak was overly charred causing a bitter burnt taste. Even the bread and butter were dry. The fussilli pasta was also flavorless. On the bright side, the drinks were excellent. Despite the nice ambiance, the high prices are hard to justify given the lack of flavor in the dishes.

Wasn't impressed with the food. We shared a $20+ rainbow roll that was eh. Tuna tartare was good but came pre-prepared on chips. Wasn't a lot of it. Salmon in coconut broth was good but a little fishy.

Food was not piping hot. Server was a bit pushy with ordering g. It was almost annoying. He had zero personality. I was entertaining Executives from Rockland and was hopi g for a better experience. I had a better experience 4 mo this ago.

The lighting in the front could be better and the noise level is high but food is fantastic, server was great and friendly and atmosphere was lovely.

Fire Oak came recommended by the local cemetery after the sudden death of my 19-year-old son. The caretakers explained to us the importance of a repast, which is a gathering of mourners to assure the families are fed after the process. I am so glad they steered us to the right place. Joshua the manager, was so attentive to my needs. I wasn't familiar in planning for something like this and he made sure this process was painless. We did the buffet in the private rooms. The staff was outstanding and the food was impeccable. I will be forever grateful to Fire Oak for their undivided attention. Many thanks to the entire team.
