Sumo Shack - Mooresville

Awesome food! We stopped in to grab Starbucks initially, but saw this lovely little restaurant next-door. Their menu was nicely displayed in the window. Their menu was also displayed on a nice 4 foot board that you could stand next to in the restaurant. There?s so many delicious things to choose from. The gal taking an order made some awesome suggestions. We went with the Aloha Smashburger, hot honey chicken sandwich, and bulgogi Philly. All three items were beyond excellent! The flavor and freshness was great. Even the hot chicken sandwich didn?t lose its crispiness in its wrapper on its journey to the hotel. Honey just enough sweetness to add to the salty chicken sandwich, and the pickles were the cherry on top. Must stop and try them out!!!

We came here twice in a week and wish we lived closer! Amazing, mouthwatering menu and offerings. It?s clear that the quality of meat is high and the prices are very fair. Great service too. We ordered the umami hotdog, Philly cheesesteak with ribeye, Philly chicken, loaded Sumo fries with pork belly could be it?s own meal and make for a great side. Please come to NYC, Sumo Shack! Pro tip: they don?t serve alcohol, but the sushi bar next door serves local craft beers/wine/cocktails, which you can have for dine-in at Sumo.

How are these not all 5-star reviews? Everything about this was amazing... The fries with pork belly were out of this world. The burger was perfect (I got the pimento burger), and my husband's hot honey chicken sandwich was great. The only problem is that I had trouble stopping when I was full. Seriously though, this is so good I'm leaving a review before I even leave the restaurant. Also, the staff seems to be having a great time, which is just the icing on the cake.

Take out New York Dog and Onion Rings for lunch. Food quality was very good as usual, onion rings are phenomenal! The New York Dog was very good but I was trying something new and discovered I'm not a big kraut fan. That's on me and not on the shack, it didn't stop me eating it but I will go with another next time! If you have not been give the Sumo Shack a go, you will not be disappointed!

I think we may have just found our new favorite restaurant in Lake Norman! We ordered an OG Philly, OG chicken sandwich, a side of Mac n cheese and a side of fries for just a few cents over $30. Wow, everything was delicious. I placed a pick up order and within less than 10 mins it was ready. The fries were by far my favorite. Just the right amount of crispy! Can?t wait to try the wings next time.
