Pennini's - Moraga

Penninis really dropped the ball this evening. The person I spoke to on the phone was impatient and had a bad attitude. I honestly can't understand how you managed to mess up my order so badly. I requested dry wings, a Margherita pizza, penne pasta with shaved Parmesan, and a side of meatballs. Instead, I received a cheese pizza topped with tomato and raw garlic, chicken wings drenched in an overwhelming amount of raw garlic, and plain pasta with dry meatballs. To make matters worse, I waited nearly two hours for a delivery that was only a mile away. This was the worst $50 I've spent in a long time. The food was barely edible due to the excessive garlic in everything. It was a terrible choice tonight. I won't be spending my hard-earned money at a place that can't get a simple order right for a local customer and deliver it on time.

We keep returning to this restaurant, and it's absolutely deserving of its 5-star rating. First and foremost, the stromboli calzone is AMAZING. I typically prefer pizza over calzones, but this one deserves a spot in the Hall of Fame. Seriously, you should try it! You might want to share it with a friend since there’s definitely enough food to justify the price. Plus, you also have the option to choose from the menu at Michael's, their partner restaurant. This way, my husband can enjoy the calzone from Penini's while I savor the mussels from Michael's, ensuring we both have incredible meals. The team here is fantastic, and we're confident you’ll have a wonderful experience too!

This restaurant offers delicious food and pizza! I'm particularly fond of the sauce they use. It's one of my favorite places for lunch. The staff is friendly, and it's evident that they enjoy what they do. The only reason I took away a star is because the prices are a bit on the high side. However, if you're looking for a non-chain pizza experience, I definitely recommend checking this place out!

One of Moraga's hidden gems. As a local resident, I always make it a priority to visit this restaurant whenever I'm in town. The staff is consistently friendly and committed to their jobs. Additionally, the current owner, Pat, employs several local residents and Saint Mary's students, which greatly supports the community. Thank you for keeping this place flourishing!
