Giovanni's Take-out Express

This is a restaurant and fish market. Outdoor seating only. Had the fish chips and deep fried oyster. I thought the oysters were way too greasy. The fish was just average, but French fries were very good. There is always a line, so be patient. The fish market have has a good selection along with live lobster and crab.

This review is for the Giovanni 's Express window that is next to the parking lot. We didn 't realize the regular restaurant was around the back of the building, so we didn 't have access to the full menu or the seating by the water. Wish we 'd know. The fish and chips was just average. Chowder was good, but not the best we 've ever had. Truly, after the hype in Trip Advisor, it was a little disappointing.

The food was great and the service was also. We split the combo basket and ordered a side of buffalo popcorn shrimp. The combo basket was very delicious. It came with fish, shrimp, scallops, and calamari all in a bed of crispy fries! The popcorn shrimp were also very well breaded and portioned. Buffalo flavor was exactly how you'd expect wings

This place is not fancy, but the food is delicious! Just great seafood, fresh and tasty. Also, killer fries. : You order at a counter, snag a waterside table, and the beeper tells you when your meal is ready. Again, not a place for a fancy evening, but totally perfect when you just want a delicious platter of fish and chips.

There is parking on the street. It is pet friendly. Patio seating in the front or back of restaurant. We opted to order at the takeout express which is very convenient. They got my hubby's order mixed up. He ordered the fried scallops and fries. Instead he was given fries only. The server at the pickup was confused when my hubby returned the wrong order. He had to tell him several times and showed the receipt. The scallops were over cooked and small portion. Not worth the high price My hubby was very disappointed. However my salmon poke and clam chowder were delicious. We ordered grilled hamburger patty for our doggies.
