Chekhov - Moscow

Fantastic food excellent service and beautiful surrounds. My favorite restaurant in Moscow. Three course lunch with wine for two about €80.

2 dinners in a row in this restaurant. 10 points the first, 9 the second. Fresh food, and they know how to cook it and how it's got to look.

Yesterday I had a great cream of pumpkin. steak pfeffer was probably not the best, but probably a wrong choice my side.

It was ok. But felt kind of like a restaurant in a hotel. It worked hard at being elegant but just felt sort of sterile and frumpy. The Beef Stroganoff however was exactly what a Stroganoff should be.

“Chekhov great cocktails” (as presented on google maps) turned out to have only 4 cocktails on the menu and the bar would not known how to make Moscow mule. A bit disappointed with such a short cocktail list...
