Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe saw the restaurant website and were encouraged by the reviews. On arrival, the entrance to the Auberge was dirty and weed ridden. However, we ventured inside and were greeted by a musty damp smell in the dining room. My partner’s trout was raw and had to be returned to the microwave! My veal came with mash rather than the frites offered. The frites came eventually and had a bad taste of old oil. I left the meal untouched, cancelled the dessert and promptly departed to find somewhere else to eat.
We came here by accident. A rainy Sunday lunchtime in February. There were no other cars and no other diners. We were the only ones there throughout the lunch service but what a find. This little restaurant was an Auberge in the tradition of understated little French auberges. We were offered the set menu, one choice of starter, two of mains and two desserts for under 30€. The portions were generous and the meats were superb. Locally sourced and beautifully cooked lamb or beef with a few vegetables. There was so much food we had to ask for a doggy bag and it was some of the best restaurant food I have eaten. If you are in the area, try it out. I don’t think you will need to book.
Great for a special a la carte lunch especially if you have plenty of time. Parking immediately outside. This Restaurant is about 2 kilometres from the centre of the town. Great Food though.
After visiting these places this building has a big potential either for a guest house or house with a channel down and a very steep axis. Thank you for having received us for this visit
The dishes, elaborated and quite original are cooked with very good products, commented by the owner, who is a real character! The check is pretty high but justified according to me. the large apartment is the decoration of the restaurant: the rustic style of the 80s, a little much) tristounet.
