Sweet Home Texas Eatery - Mount Vernon

Best small town eatery in Texas. Hands down. Not only is the food great, but the atmosphere Julia and her staff provide is exceptional. I feel like family every time I walk through the door. Highly recommend this place if you are driving through or you’re a resident of the surrounding areas.

Beautiful restaurant with such a warm and cozy home feeling. They offer homemade soups, amazing deserts and coffee. You must give them a try if you're in the area.

Fantastic! Soup I had today was so yummy I got a take-out of it to take to a friend. We will certainly be going back for the soup and try something else on their menu.

What a delightful spot for wonderful atmosphere and even more wonderful food! We tried the Reuben and the burgers... both were great! Hometown feel doesn’t get much better than this!
