Windward Neighbourhood Pub - Nanaimo

Re-visited this pub again for the first time. The menu has the normal type of pub food, priced in the normal range for pub fare. Service was good and the beer was cold.

We took a group of just under 30 people to the Windward on burger night, Thursday. The service was excellent, and the quality and value of the food was very good. I particularly like that all of their fish (fish and chips, fish burgers and fish tacos) is fresh locally caught red snapper. For a retired group (which can be quite loud) we really liked that the sound level was very good. Carpet on the floor, natural wood and sound absorbing ceiling make it much easier for those with hearing issues to participate in the discussions.

We have been going back to the Windward Pub every couple of weeks for awhile now. Their wings are awesome and their new home cut fries are delicious! The staff are really friendly and have never left us feeling neglected. It isn't a fancy place but it is comfortable. A great neighbourhood pub. If you want to go to a laid back place for a beer or some good grub definitely give it a try.

We'd been to The Windward Pub many years ago while visiting Nanaimo and really enjoyed the décor, ambience and decent pub food. We went in a couple of weeks ago hoping to have a similar experience but sadly it's gone totally downhill. It's noisy and lacks any kind of ambience. We won't go back.

Stopped in for a bevy and eats great food super friendly staff clean , its lots of laughs fresh look its a great neighbour hood pub we will go again
