Excellent when it first opened, failing slowly now; had fish and chips there last Thursday and the chips were 'soggy' or recooked, and not very well, batter was slimy on fish .. Will give this a miss until I hear from others it has improved..
The Fish Depot is a welcome addition to the Burpengary take away and casual sit down eating scene. Part of a chain of fish and chip shops in south-east Queensland, the fish is always freshly cooked and produce is sourced from local resources. As there is often a long queue on Friday nights and weekends and we tend to phone our order in. The size of the fish serves is quite good, especially compared to the 'bigger' name fish and chip eatery at Scarborough. Fish always comes with lemon wedges and the beer battered chips are crisp and large. Fresh prawns have always been nice too. The seating doesn't have much ambience but this doesn't stop people from choosing to sit down and enjoy their meal.
