Under-the-hill Saloon - Natchez

What a wonderful meal! Natchez is half the point between which we live and my daughter lives, so it's a natural meeting place. She chose The Camp based on online reviews and it was not disappointed! The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the ambience was very pleasant. We had nachos and fried pimples as appetizers and both were great. In fact, the fried pickles remained crispy until the last. We had a range of hamburgers, fried shrimps and other ducks and everyone really enjoyed their meal. This place definitely deserves our repeat business!

Great location and love the atmosphere. The waitress was also very nice. The turkey melt ordered with fries. The fries were lukewarm and the turkey melt was not what I expected. It was also lukewarm and the very sharp cheddar cheese exaggerated the entire sandwich. It could have used some turkey and ranch to balance it. Also for 12 (15 total) dollars I expected a little more between the bread. Overall, I'm just a star as it was my first time here and maybe the cook had a bad day because I like the whole atmosphere and experience. I give them a second chance.

We went there for lunch. The atmosphere and the views of the Mississippi River are great! The pulled pork sandwich had very flavorful meat and no fat or gristle to work around. I would have put less bbq sauce on it just to highlight the meat more but that's a me thing. My husband had the brisket melt and enjoyed it very much. For dessert we had the bread pudding. I haven't had it since I was a kid but I don't remember it tasting like this. It was moist and delicious! The service was pretty relaxed but she was around if we needed something. Really enjoyed it!

Food and service were absolutely great!! Very recommended. The area has a beautiful view of the Mississippi River, Bridge and Louisiana on the other side. The road has a certain under the hill Vibe with a lot of berries but family-friendly and tasteful at the same time. The best place I found for beautiful sunsets. You can even enjoy the camp's veranda.

Fantastic meal, servings are huge! We had smoked wings for appetizers (was enough for a meal! The nachos with pulled pork were great! The Brisket Sandwich with Coleslaw and Pickles on it was amazing! Margarita was also authentic! Great service and food makes this 5 for us!
