We were looking around for a place to eat on a Sunday evening, and that appears to be a tough thing to do in Natchez if you are looking for something that isn't fast food. Fortunately, we found our way down to the waterfront below Fort Rosalie, and there we found The Camp, an establishment that offers a nice drink by the river along with some food. The view from this place, as long as you sit on the porch and not inside, is spectacular. Why anyone would want to sit inside where it is kind of dark is beyond me. We ordered our food, I got a burger along with a sour beer, and enjoyed our time watching various barges go by on the river. The burger was good, the sour beer was a nice experience, and it was just a good time all around. We headed back up to our hotel that evening quite happy. Definitely worth the time to get down there and have a nice bite to eat.
Great for chilling music is fun and interesting love the Mississippi Avenue Sundays at 4:00pm Atmosphere: 3
This is a fantastic destination filled with history and a wonderful place to relax. It's definitely worth the adventure down the steep road. Parking can be very limited. Price per person: $1–10. Service: 4/5. Atmosphere: 5/5. Parking: It's difficult to find a spot, but there is free street parking available.
The music was fantastic, and although the welcome was a bit shy at first, it felt warm and inviting. This place truly has a unique charm. Located along the banks of the Mississippi and conveniently close to the main hotels in Natchez, it’s definitely worth a visit. The price per person is quite reasonable, ranging from $10 to $20. The atmosphere gets a solid 5 out of 5!
