Upon entering, we were struck by how clean and attractive the interior looked, but we were surprised to find it completely empty on a Friday night—kind of odd. A young woman working there pointed us to a booth across the room, dropped off the menus without a word, and walked away. Hmm. A few minutes later, she returned to see if we had any questions, and I took the opportunity to ask whether their spring rolls were made in-house. When she confirmed that they were, I felt relieved; there's nothing worse than ordering something fried only to discover it was frozen! The server turned out to be quite personable and knowledgeable about the menu, sharing her honest opinions about the dishes. While her outfit—a t-shirt featuring cartoon characters and shorts—wasn't exactly professional for a restaurant setting, I’m not here to judge her fashion sense. I ordered a Thai Tea with Boba, and it was absolutely delicious—possibly one of the best I’ve ever had! It arrived beautifully presented, with dark bobas at the bottom, vibrant orange tea, and a creamy white layer on top. It had the perfect consistency. Next up were the spring rolls, and the first thing we noticed was how thick they were. I’m used to longer, slimmer rolls, but these were short and chunky, indicating they were hand-rolled—yay! I prefer my rolls hearty, and these were packed with meat, vegetables, and a hint of rice noodles. Pammy and I decided to share the Spicy Beef Salad and the Drunken Noodles, opting for a spice level of 2 on a scale of 1 to 10 for the salad. It turned out to be a bit spicy for us—either that, or we just can’t handle heat very well! But hey, it was called “Spicy Beef Salad,” so no complaints there. The meat was tender, and the dressing was delightfully citrusy. As for the Drunken Noodles, we went with chicken, though I kind of wish I had chosen shrimp since I love it. Anyhow, the noodles were perfectly cooked—not too mushy (I get frustrated when my noodles are soggy)—and the vegetables were fresh and tasty. All in all, I have zero complaints about The Great Thai BBQ Restaurant!
This was my second visit, and it was just as enjoyable as the first. The flavors are rich and authentic, and the atmosphere is peaceful—perfect for a relaxing meal. The prices are very reasonable, and everything is clean! I particularly recommend the Tom Yum Pad Thai.
The atmosphere is pleasant, the prices are quite affordable, and there's a wide selection of options to choose from. Overall, the food is decent.
