East Haven Tavern - New Haven

The food and service has always been awesome. I love the new addition to the place as well!

My preferred bar of choice. And karaoke night is usually when you'll see me there. What's not to love. The energy, the atmosphere, and the music makes it worthwhile.

First and foremost, not kid friendly… Food was pretty good with a few items being fresh in house. Great location when traveling cross country and a hit for the locals which is a good sign! Staff was pleasant and honest with recommendations. Smoking allowed inside (fyi)

Excellent food at a decent neighborhood bar. Friday fish was non-greasy and great taste. Only reason for 4 vs 5 stars is New Haven allows for smoking in bars. While certainly vented decent, still in a smoking environment.

Had the special 1/2 rack of ribs with no sauce, cottage cheese and fries. Prepared very well and I love how they serve the food. The wait staff (which doesn't seem right to call them that, they are so much more) was attentive without being annoying. My plate was taken away promptly and they checked back often to make sure I was doing okay. They had live entertainment with Tom Koenig, always great to see him and hear not only great music but witty stories too.
