Avaliação da contribuiçãoI have one of my favorite new haven vegan friendly restaurants (lalibela) just to find another new favorite on the street! Thanks for a happy cow sticker in the window, I stopped to check the menu at koon and was so happy to see real vegan options as pad thai, pad see ew, and taro steamed rolls! I have made a mental note to try it in the following week and I am so glad that I did. I ordered the delivery and all vegan dishes were delicious! so happy that there is a Thai restaurant in new haven with current vegan options. four stars just because they serve flesh.
Ordered crispy fried tofu and Pad Thai. One guy there worked as cook, waiter and cashier. He served me with a zombie face, which I understandably forgave. The food was edible, which was the only good thing about this place.Food: 1/5
I used to love this spot! I would come in every other week. One day, they no longer offered the most items on the menu, and if they did they were increased by at least 20%. I ordered two custard buns- both were extremely chewy I felt like I was chewing a piece of gum or chewing bread and the custard part wasn't even warmed, a small amount of it was stuffed into one side of the bun.And the next huge disappointment were the Thai fried wings. They be were oily and stuffed in a box. Then I was strongly recommended to the coconut cream pudding. I asked the quantity. I was told that one order contain 3-4 middle-sized bowls. The only good item that I would possibly go back for is the pineapple fried rice. I ate the chewy buns because I thought they were the original ones.I spent over $40 I'm basically a pineapple fried rice. I have my receipt, and pictures of the food shown. I highly doubt that I will bring my business back. Instead I plan on telling my co-workers and showing them what I received for $40. I'm heating up the pineapple fried rice- it's extremely dry and has no distinct spices.† If management would love to get ahold of me that would be great.
We went as a group of four about an hour before close they still let us in and order, food came out fast and was great, flavorful, well cooked, overall a great experience.Food: 5/5
Delicious Thai food!My parents and I came here on a Saturday night and it wasn't too busy, which was nice. The menu is huge! My Dad and I are both vegan and we really appreciated the vegan/vegetarian labels in the menu.We started our meal with Tom kha soup and vegetable dumplings. Both were amazing! So flavorful and delicious. For our entrées, my mom had shrimp pad Thai, I had the tofu pad Thai (no egg), and my Dad had the massaman curry with tofu. Everything was delicious, and super filling! All of the vegan food here was incredible. We will definitely be back!
