Avaliação da contribuiçãoSo I was at the landry’s in st. louis. it was nice, but I must say that I liked the look and feel of this place a little better. like most places in the French quarter it has that inviting wide open walk look right in the market business. there are two flat and walls with recovered wood. the tables and chairs have been married and scraped and other faux properties given to make them appear authentic, but the shimmer is easily removed by the critical eye. still it was a nice note. we ordered fried aligator, new orleans krustenfisch brot and oyster on the half shell for starters. they were all delicious with the highlight surprisingly the roasted aligator. I felt like I had been thrown into the matrix, as it unexpectedly did not taste like reptiles, but rather like chickens. I have always been a small risk averse when it comes to trying new things, but I have a chance on the blackened redfish etoufee for the main course. my fears have been further exacerbated when my fellow workers have blurred me with cold environmental destruction, because the edofe ozon can impoverish the devastating methane emissions. secretly, I was worried that I had the rest of the evening gassy and bloomed like a ball fish. the reddish was tasteful and easy to season with the right amount. the edofee also tasteful and grateful not hard at all. it was served with steamed rice and asparagus. the rice coupled beautifully with the spicy red fish and helped to balance it. all and all that I was not disappointed and recommend the court.
The food wasn’t bad. Some things we’re better then others. At first we had a great experience here. Bar staff was great and welcoming. But then we were seated (table of 8) and two of our group just sat and watched us eat for 40 minutes. It was so uncomfortable and a waste of time. So I told the manager and within 10 minutes they received their food. Our waitress was new but fine and it was not her fault. Honestly- the manger never even addressed us again or apologized. I don’t like that and it’s in poor taste in my opinion. I will not be turning.
Honestly, the food was just mediocre and the service was absolutely terrible. The atmosphere was great but next trip we'll try something else in the same area (probably something not affiliated with a chain).
We have visited this location 3 times and had excellent food and service each time! The crab leg boil and bread pudding are to die for. Each time we visited our servers we fun to chat with and each of them actually brought over a discounted item for us to try as tourists and I thought that was really neat. In turn, it lead to repeat visits from us over the course of our long trip and trying higher cost menu items. Im not sure if they encourage the service team to push new items in this way, but it stood out to me and made us feel special. The atmosphere is both upbeat and upscale so we didn’t feel like we were missing the party by stepping off the streets for a nicer meal. Great outdoor dining and indoor dining with a view of Jackson square as well.
We just had drinks outside on the upper level. The view was great, overlooking the Mississippi. The drinks were also very good.
