Nola Cantina - New Orleans

Overall, we were not very impressed. There were service problems (it took 20 minutes for a server to come to our table and another 20 minutes until I had to stand up and get a manager to address that we don't get our drinks yet. Our waitress obviously had some problems because we noticed she was sent home. We received a new server). The food was okay. We have different pork dishes and found that the pig didn't have much taste for him. The only redeeming quality was how apologetic/attentive was the manager. He offered to remove the costs of our first round of drinks. However, when we got the bill, our drinks were still there and we had to ask if they were taken off. This review is not common, but hopefully help you see the restaurant where there are some vulnerabilities and leave an honest review, so others have a better idea of what they get when they eat there. Our experience can be the exception and not the rule. It is a great location and has a lot of potential.

We went to NOLA Cantina for Cinco de Mayo and could not be satisfied anymore! What a large courtyard and a GREAT band. The tacos were very authentic and the beverage specialities were a value! We will definitely be back on our next trip.

Where do I start? Wait to sit there and the female manager? We'll see each other and visit the group. Finally sit and wait to order 10 minutes. Forget the menu only Tacos are available, it is 7:30. Strawberry margaritas tasted like salt water with strawberry syrup. Mango margarita was not worth ending and I'm not a two drink diner. Guacamole was seasoned with paprika and nothing else. Chicken taco had no taste at all. Absolutely the WORST eating experience I've ever had, and cinco de Mayo had nothing to do with it.

Everybody was so friendly. The bartender went the extra mile to make a handmade drink. The food was great. The landscape was great. I don't remember our server name, she has dark hair with highlights and trained a woman with shorter blond hair.

Loved our dinner experience last night! Our server, Laura, was exceptional very friendly, and helpful with the menu! The food was delicious and came with a $2 tequila shot!!
