The Hearty Goodfellow

Six of us gathered at this restaurant for lunch in the charming town of Southwell, known for its stunning Minster. The selection of real ales was great, and the lunch menu offered many appealing options, including a two-course meal. The scampi was a standout favorite. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and we found the bill to be very reasonable considering the quality of the food we enjoyed. Overall, a fantastic dining experience.

We were looking for tasty food and a nice atmosphere, and we found it at this great little pub with a spacious beer garden. Despite being busy, it didn't feel overcrowded. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious – we cleaned our plates, which is rare for us! We had a relaxing couple of hours and the prices were reasonable.

This is a friendly, well managed pub. we chose it for Sunday dinner. the sign outside says local food, and that followed cooking. it was a good quality, really pleasant and all made home. very good, and excellent worth. I can imagine being here all the time when I lived close. Make sure to leave a lot of time as the service is not super fast. but who cares?

We have a drink in this traditional and comfortable pub served by friendly and friendly staff. it looks like the big beer garden at the heck is family friendly and a great place for a summer couple.

After we visited the local national trust house today (17th februar), we went to dinner at the highly valued hearty goodfellow. can not really comment on how I drove. service was good. when we set ourselves, we were presented with the menu and said there was no steak available. I have never understood why a pub can run out of steak around 18 o'clock, especially if there is a great metzgerladen about 500m away. Why shouldn't someone get a couple during the day? Anyway, we ordered deep fried mushrooms that were very nice fish and chips were very nice, I chose the cake of the week' instead of the steak I really wanted and it was pretty average, not as good as we make home. therefore the overall assessment of 3.
