La Yuan - Newcastle upon Tyne

This has to be the best Chinese food in town, because it's miles away from the gloopy, sticky, Westernized stuff you get elsewhere.

Absolutely beautiful food, much of it is quite spicy in a very complementary way to food. A wide selection of dishes and dishes. I can't decide what's better, the cocktails or the food — really great place.

The food at this restaurant is exquisite, with well-balanced and complex flavors. The staff was friendly and helpful, and I would highly recommend it. My only critique is that the restroom was in a less than desirable state, which was not pleasant for a restaurant setting.

La Yuan is an authentic and incredibly delicious Sichuan restaurant that we consider one of the best in the UK. We always make sure to visit when we are in the northeast!
