The Wheatsheaf Benton Square

Got Sunday lunch ... arrived with a slab of tender but quite dry beef, a school dinner blob of Smash (other dried potato brands are available), one small roast potato, a doll sized dollop of turnip (which was nice), and a side dish of rock hard mixed frozen veg (note to 'chef... frozen vegetables need to be cooked before reheating in microwave) which were returned twice, but only warmed up . The Yorkshire pudding had evidently been kept warm from the week before, and the "chef 's delicious 3 day gravy still had granules visible. Basically, it was vile.

Arrived 1645 ish ,the plan was to have food and few drinks and watch the football, but stopped doing food 1630 !!! So we moved on elsewhere Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

Dropped in for food on Sunday at short notice, not a problem, table for 7 plus high chair. Food nice.
