Pizza Man - Newman

So yummy! Great experience from walking in the door to walking out!! One of the best Pizzas I've had in a long time!! Not only great food but awesome service, and meeting and conversing with the owner was fantastic!! We will totally be back!!

Pizza Man has been a fixture of Newman for as long as I can remember. It has changed places and hands through the years but the excellence remains. You don 't stay in business in Small Town America for decades and not be good at what you do! Pizza, subs, salads of course, but also Italian beef, baked potatoes and tacos! You can even get a burger! The pizza dough is made in house daily and never frozen. The owner selects the finest ingredients. A couple years ago the supplier of creamy Italian dressing went under. There were so many dressings with which Bernie experimented. It made for interesting meals, to say the least. He didn 't just try a couple himself and say good enough. He put them on his subs and salads and then listened to what people had to say. This same dedication to perfecting the menu has carried Pizza Man on through the years. This little restaurant is also many an area teenager 's first real job. Generations of kids have worked these ovens. Sometimes the service is a little rough edged (and occasionally the pizza, too! but offering this opportunity to our youngsters to cut their teeth has proven a valuable service to many. Give the kids a break (and a tip! if you catch an after school shift. If you 've never been or it 's been too long, do yourself a favor and get a little flavor of Newman, Illinois.

This is hands down the best pizza and food in central Illinois!! It's been a family favorite for over 30 years. Keep up the awesome work!!! And they are super fast!! Kudos to all!!!
