Beautifully packed up with nice utensils . had 2 eggs , 2 English sausages, bacon, baked beans, toast and a tomato. And Cover too. They also make the Best Sandwiches I've ever had! Lots of fun English novelties to buy Love this place so much. The owners are just the sweetest. Check it out next time you visit Newport. Why wait in line for hours on Breakfast when all you need is right here.
Stopped in to try the Full English and it really hit the spot! Food was great, environment was clean, and staff was super friendly. Looking forward to trying more of the menu, always happy to support local business, especially when it's this good.
A must stop on your way off of the Newport Pell Bridge for this authentic British Cafe experience. On a cold, rainy December day, my husband and I popped in for a special treat and we thought we had died and gone to Heaven. This family run cafe is charming and brought us back to our honeymoon spent in England. They were closing up shop, but kept the oven going to make me a Cornish pasty and my husband the most delicious vegetarian pie. Their kindness and warmth was appreciated on such a raw day. So was their delicious food!!!! Their variety of snacks and treats was impressive and introduced us to some treats we didn’t spot on our honeymoon. The food made our knees buckle. Flavors and a cooking style that we have longed for since we were in the UK and couldn’t find in New England. We had a lovely time visiting with them while our pies cooked and we are already planning our next trip!!! This is not a place to miss! We’re so grateful the owners picked Newport to open their shop!!!
Leaving Newport yesterday we stopped in Kellie’s just before the bridge and were SO glad we did. We ordered the steak and ale pie and the cream of tomato soup with baguette bread. We BOTH agreed that the pie, soup and bread , all three, were by far the BEST we had ever tasted! However, what was equally enjoyable was visiting with the lovely British couple who both own and run the restaurant and the conversation we had with them. So , if you’re ever in the Newport area DO NOT pass by the fantastic little restaurant you’ll regret it if you do.
I had a terrific birthday party for a friend with 10 invitees at Kellie's this morning. Two beautiful tables greeted us with an assortment of scones, muffins and other delicacies with clotted cream. Kellie was attentive and cheerful. It was quite reasonable, particularly considering all the attention and wonderful food. I highly recommend it. Stop for lunch or breakfast, too. Delicious.
